Job Details

Title: Web Application Firewall and CDN Engineer

Working Model: Hybrid- 2x/wk in office attendance

Exp: Targeted Years of Experience: 7-10 years

Location: Temple Terrace but open to any VZ hub

 

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):

·       Provide support for Verizon Network configurations to ensure applications are configured to appropriately flow through the new CDN platform ensuring application traffic flows appropriately to the application origins.

·       Assist application teams with or performing troubleshooting, configuration, or updating CDN configurations for successful testing for on-boarding procedures.

·       Serve as an expert in Web Application Firewall (WAF) security.

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

·       Assist with research for new technologies for WAF solutions, identify potential approaches that can be used to mitigate identified risks, and work with teams to implement recommendations.

·       Support the development of tools, programs, and standards for improving the security analysis process within the business.

·       Deep knowledge and understanding of network, systems, software, and security and is able to articulate it in both business and technical forums.

 

JOB DUTIES:

·       Provide support for all WAF related activities to support the protection of ALL Verizon external facing applications and potential new partners.

·       Provide CDN Support for all Verizon external Facing applications an potential new partners.

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security or other IT Related field or equivalent experience and or certifications.

LOGISTICS:

  • This is a standard shift position. However, it will call for minimal off-hours and on-call requirements.
