Field Operations Technician

We're seeking a seasoned Telecom Field Operations Technician to support a major fiber and telecom infrastructure across Gulfport, MS and surrounding areas. What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, and support fiber optic infrastructure, voice/data networks, and telecom transport systems
• Perform fiber optic splicing, stripping, and emergency repairs (OSP, aerial, and buried)
• Configure IP networks including routers and servers
• Oversee installations and coordinate with contractors and vendors
• Maintain accurate circuit documentation and equipment inventories
• Support SCADA systems and use tools like Site Tracker for project oversight
• Respond to reactive and preventive maintenance needs across field sites
• Participate in 24x7 on-call operations as needed

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in telecom or electronics technology
• Strong background in IP networking and fiber optic repair/splicing
• Familiarity with microwave, wireless, voice, and data network topologies
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software across telecom systems
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50 miles/day
• Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in field conditions
• Must pass a DOT physical exam

Nice to Have

• FCC license or equivalent radio repair certification
• Experience with SCADA systems and Site Tracker
• Military electronics training or technical degree in telecom/electronics

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $26.00/hr.
