Job Description

What You Will Be Doing:

This position is a technical project lead for the Sustainment Requirements Integration team supporting the coordination, integration, preparation, and development of sustainment proposals, studies, and special project efforts. The candidate will integrate across functional teams and must be able to work independently and as a technical lead for teams to deliver proposal products and technical requirements for submittal to the internal and external customers. This position will be responsible for the tasks and actions in preparing related prime and supplier proposals and technical data for supporting sustainment proposals. The candidate must be able to perform proposal technical evaluations, fact-finds and assist as the technical lead in negotiations, authorization to proceed and support execution of the sustainment contracts. The candidate will be required to decompose and align prime requirements to supplier requirements and create Supplier Statements of Work (SSoW). The candidate will be required to prepare and maintain a weekly assessment and audit trail of all assigned proposal and technical activities and support weekly executive reviews. The candidate will perform sustainment projects and studies both within LM Aero and across various programs/functions and provide oversight coordination / tracking of action items. The candidate will be required to prioritize multiple projects and initiatives in a complex environment to ensure program activities are well coordinated and executed. The candidate will be required to manage the activities of a large organization and effectively organize others to complete tasks on budget and schedule using the Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). The candidate must be able to effectively deal with abstract issues and develop solid plans and communication strategies to effectively respond to internal or external customers. The candidate will be required to ensure that technical content contained in executive-level data, briefings, presentation, and correspondence are current to support program actions. The candidate will be required to exhibit effective and clear communications skills level. The candidate will be required to understand the military service joint operations and structure.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must have logistics project experience working in key government Integrated Logistics System (ILS) elements and be able to integrate these elements in developing sustainment technical requirements for prime contractors and suppliers.
The candidate must have experience in developing Statements of Work (SSoW) and leading technical evaluations, fact-finds and assisting as the technical lead in negotiations, authorization to proceed and execution of sustainment contracts.
Experience and/or familiarization with military service joint operations and structure
Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently with limited oversight and technical supervision

Desired skills

Knowledge and experience with sustainment processes and supporting organizations, particularly Training Systems, Supply Chain Management, Support Equipment, Autonomic Logistics Information Systems, Joint Service Technical Data, Sustainment Business Operations, Sub-Contract Management, Contracts, and Estimating.

Working knowledge of business and financial operations and data analysis.

Experience in Department of Defense projects and operations, especially United States Air Force (USAF) and/or US Navy, in an integrated project team (IPT) environment desired.

Knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR)

Cost Account Management (CAM) trained in EVMS

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $117,200 - $206,770. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
