About the role:

As a Systems Engineer, you ll play a vital role within the organization, acting as SME for various critical systems and services. We are looking for a proactive individual that can help us continually improve and enhance our network environment, by gathering requirements and feedback, designing scalable best practice solutions, and assisting with management of the technical road map. The ideal candidate will be comfortable learning and adapting to the intricacies of the Tradewind environment, happy liaising with stakeholders at all levels, and keen to apply their years of technical expertise to help refine the technology in use at a fast-growing organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support core IT infrastructure and line of business applications including but not limited to network devices, remote access systems, identity management, and others.
  • Assist with the support, development and architectural design of proprietary business applications, focused on scheduling, maintenance, client experience and others.
  • Strive to achieve five 9 s system uptime, in a fast-paced business critical network environment.
  • Assist with disaster recovery/Business Continuity planning and testing.
  • Work to safeguard organization s computer networks and systems by planning, implementing and maintaining security controls and technologies to monitor and protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks.
  • Act as primary escalation point for technical issues related to critical systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with end-user support team in troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues and identify areas of improvement.
  • Manage and maintain company MDM Platform, including a fleet of 100+ mobile devices
  • Assist with coordination and management of technical and security-focused end user training

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-10 years hands-on experience planning, implementing, and supporting production, business critical network environment(s)
  • Bachelor s Degree, and/or equivalent network, server and cloud focused technical certifications
  • Strong technical mindset, with the capacity to understand complex network environments end-to-end.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange, Sharepoint, and Entra.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure services and environments, and integrating services with on-premise networks.
  • Experience with vendor management, and coordinating multiple vendors involved in a single project
  • Working knowledge of Information security best practices and concepts.
  • Committed to learning and growing with the IT organization, focused on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, written and verbal; able to communicate technical issues to non-technical people.
  • Able to work under pressure, analyze and troubleshoot complex, time-sensitive technical issues efficiently and effectively.

 

Highly desirable for any of these additional skillsets:

  • Experience in achieving and maintaining Industry standard regulatory certification (ISO27001, SOC2, etc)
  • Basic to intermediate programming skills (API integration experience is a big plus)
  • Experience with additional business applications (Microsoft SQL, Power BI), Ticketing system (JIRA, Zendesk, etc)
