Job Title: Electron Framework with Node.js Lead

Location: Des Moines, IA Onsite from Day 1

Duration: 6 12 Months Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Developer experienced in Electron Framework and Node.js to design and build cross-platform desktop applications. The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development skills, hands-on leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of desktop applications using Electron and Node.js.
Architect application structure, implement new features, and ensure code quality through reviews and best practices.
Integrate APIs, manage data flow, and optimize performance for Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and coordinate tasks within the team.
Work closely with product owners and UI/UX teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of the application.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of professional JavaScript/TypeScript development.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Electron Framework and Node.js.
Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, React or similar front-end frameworks.
Experience with desktop app packaging, deployment, and auto-update mechanisms.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and data storage solutions (SQLite, NoSQL, etc.).
Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Nice to Have

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Background in Agile/Scrum development practices.
