Network Engineer (ACI and Fortinet Specialist)

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a seasoned Network Operations Engineer to join our team on an initial six-month contract with the potential for transitioning to a permanent role. This position requires expertise in supporting network infrastructures, focusing on ACI and Fortinet technologies, within a financial services context.

Location and Schedule:

• Hybrid working arrangement.
• Based at Metro Park office 2-3 days every alternate week.
• NYC office rotation for one week every six weeks.
• On-call responsibilities for one week every six weeks.
• Preference for local candidates.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in high-demand network settings.
• Proficiency in managing real-time data and trading environments.
• Relevant certifications or training in network technologies are advantageous.
• Basic skills in Windows and Linux systems administration are desirable.
• Experience with scripting and automation to streamline operations.

Key Skills Required:

• Proficiency in ACI and Fortinet technologies.
• Financial industry experience.
• Skills in load balancing and conducting system upgrades.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Spearhead implementation, maintenance, and support for network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and firewalls.
• Provide daily technical support and troubleshooting for Cisco ACI, load balancing systems, DNS, and firewalls.
• Continuously monitor and fine-tune network performance using tools like Extrahop, OpsRamp, Splunk, SolarWinds, and BackBox.
• Promptly escalate and address critical production issues.
• Participate actively in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.

Technological Proficiencies:

• Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
• Network Equipment: Cisco ACI, Fortinet firewalls, F5 LTM/GTM, routers, and switches.
• Additional Tools: Cisco ISE, web proxies, BlueCat DNS, SSL/PKI implementations.
