Kforce has a client looking to hire a Data Engineer. This role is fully remote, but the ideal candidate would be located in CO, OR, CA, or WA and willing to work either MST or PST hours to mirror the majority of the team. This senior-level role supports enterprise data initiatives by developing scalable, high-quality data solutions that enable clinical, operational, and strategic decision-making. The position is part of a growing data engineering team focused on expanding analytics capabilities across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines and ETL processes using SQL and Python
* Develop relational data models to support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows
* Extract and transform complex clinical and administrative data from Epic Clarity and other systems
* Gather and refine requirements from product owners and stakeholders
* Collaborate across clinical, business, and technical teams to define data needs
* Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across data products
Implement best practices in data governance, access control, and quality assurance
* Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the evolution of the data platform
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma or GED required
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
* 10+ years of experience in data engineering
* Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for complex query development and performance tuning
* Hands-on experience with Databricks or equivalent cloud-based data platforms
* Solid understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
* Previous experience working with Epic Clarity data highly preferred
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team
* Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., ICD-10, CPT)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
