Location Requirement: The primary work location will be 701 W 51st St, Austin, Texas 78751.

Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Fri) required to be onsite at the location listed above. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50 mile radius).

Candidates must already reside in Texas.

Works under the general supervision of the Regulatory LTC Application Manager or their designee. This position is responsible for leading complex technical database activities for the information systems supporting the HHSC Division of regulatory Services. Provides support in the development and maintenance of data warehouse and reporting systems. Develops, tests, debugs and documents highly complex program code to implement functional and design requirements for reporting systems in the agency. Participates in code walk-thrus. Assists in the development and maintenance of system documentation. Works with other members of the development team and end-users. Develops and maintains expertise in a variety of programming and database management tools. Develops technical and user documentation and supports training as required.

Required Skills:

  • Evaluates users' requests for new data elements and systems and incorporates into the existing shared data
  • Install and use Data Modeling tools like Tableau, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Informatica and etc.
  • Develop logical and physical Data Models and Entity Relationship Diagrams.
  • Implement database objects in an Oracle cloud RDBMS, Salesforce CRM.
  • Advanced data modeler with experience in Design, creation, and maintenance data models representing production databases.
  • Generate scripts to be in the database using data modeler tools.
  • Incorporating changes to data model design.
  • Write source to target mapping instructions as needed to support ETL development.
  • Develop stored procedures, database triggers and complex PL/SQL packages where needed.
  • Perform requirement analysis and provide data mapping guidance to application and development teams.

  • Strong understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) to extract, transform, and load data, enabling businesses to use data for analysis and decision-making, extracting data from various sources, such as databases, files, and cloud services.
  • Certification in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Informatica preferred.
  • Experience understanding PERL scripts is a plus.
  • Experience creating Tableau dashboard.
