Job Description

The Teachers' Retirement System of the City of New York (TRS) is a public pension fund that provides New York City educators with retirement, disability, and death benefits. TRS was established on August 1, 1917 and is one of the largest pension plan sponsors in the United States, with more than $106 billion in assets and over 215,000 active and inactive members, retirees and beneficiaries.

Our Summer Internship Program is a twelve-week program that offers students the opportunity to gain rewarding work experience, while also making important contributions to the City of New York. During the program, interns will support departmental projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and participate in enrichment activities such as networking events and training workshops

Responsibilities:

- Document IT processes and procedures
- Perform recertification of privileged accounts and permission
- Perform cleanup of Active Directory
- Document Backup and Restore process
- Create procedure for the Backup and Restore process and train IT group
- Decommission TRS (old) domain in Beyondtrust (Privileged Access management system)
- Perform reconciliation of privileged accounts in ADTRSNYC domain
- Create access matrix for privileged accounts to TRS' computer assets

Qualifications

As of June of the Program year the prospective intern must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year).
NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program, June - August each year.
