Job Title: Lawson Developer COBOL/IPA (HR & Payroll)
Location: Remote
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lawson Developer with expertise in Lawson S3 Human Resources (HR) and Payroll applications. The ideal candidate will have strong programming experience in COBOL (MS-COBOL preferred), SQL proficiency, and Landmark IPA workflow development. This role requires knowledge of HCM components, system integration, and production support while ensuring data security and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities:

Development & System Enhancement:

  • Develop and maintain Lawson S3 HR & Payroll applications.
  • Utilize Lawson Development Workbench for coding, compiling, and system optimization.
  • Implement Landmark IPA workflows to streamline business processes.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data analysis, transformation, and reporting.

HCM Integration & Process Optimization:

  • Ensure seamless integration of HCM modules with Finance, external vendors, financial institutions, and government entities.
  • Participate in Go Live migrations, ensuring smooth deployments.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting to support decision-making.

Production Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Offer on-call production support, troubleshooting system issues.
  • Collaborate with team members and business users to resolve technical challenges.
  • Maintain documentation, ensuring clear communication and traceability.

Collaboration & Security Compliance:

  • Work within a highly confidential environment, ensuring data security in HR & Payroll applications.
  • Function as a problem solver, brainstorming solutions with team members.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) to enhance reporting and communication.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 7+ years of programming experience, preferably in Lawson HCM ERP.
  • 5+ years of experience in COBOL development (MS-COBOL preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in an HCM ERP environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming for database operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Landmark IPA workflow programming.
  • Strong knowledge of HR & Payroll components and integration.
