Job Details

Job Tittle: Platform Engineer

Location: New York, NY - onsite 3 days per week

Long-Term Contract Role

Primary Skill Set: Platform Architecture Design and Engineering Practices, including but not limited to:
Host Platforms: Webfarm, Treadmill, MKS
Compute: VM, Containers, Serverless
Storage: Object, File
Databases: SQL, NoSQL, Time-Series
Messaging: Kafka, MQ
Observability: Logs, Metrics, Traces
Security: Authentication, Secrets, Audit Trails
Networking: Ingress, Service Mesh, DNS

Key Responsibilities:
"To design, engineer, and govern scalable, secure, and resilient platform architecture that ensures engineering and operational excellence and supports the evolving needs of the business through reusable patterns, automation, and architectural best practices."
Create and govern infrastructure platform catalog
Enforce architectural patterns and standards
Resiliency design & failure domain definitions
Develop infrastructure design solutions in collaboration with CPS core engg team
Leverage SRE organization embedded in application teams to scale for the PEArch charter
Keep rest of the CPS org apprised on what is coming soon in terms of big impact deliverables
