Network Technician II
Primary Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Network Technician II for our premier client in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
WHAT YOULL NEED:
Technical Requirements and Certifications

  • AVIXA CTS certification or equivalent preferred.

Education and Experience

  • BS/BA in information technology or computer science is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an AV related support field preferred.
  • Proven experience with AV/IT end user support.
  • Experience in desktop support is appreciated.
  • Working knowledge of AV/IT systems and applications/collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Understanding of AV control systems (Crestron, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco video endpoints, etc.).
  • Consults with end-users in addressing problems and assists in formulating solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot audio and video conference calls.
  • Maintains exceptional level of communication with end-users.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities.
  • MS TEAMS Live Event experience is something would Nice to have.
  • Background supporting conference room technologies on the front-end.
  • Support TEAMS rooms; this is a big plus.
  • Cisco Video end points are a big plus.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure software and hardware (video cables, wireless presentation systems, management suites, etc.).
  • Monitor AV systems and technology performance.
  • Provide advice on the most suitable AV/IT choices for guests in conference rooms.
  • Provide conference room AV support for executive level meetings.
  • Provide technical support for AV systems inside the conference rooms.
  • Work with outside vendors and integrators to troubleshoot/fix advanced issues.
  • Provide ongoing communication throughout the day to AV/IT support staff and leadership on updates and issues regarding conference room technology.
  • Collaborate with other AV/IT professionals to maintain standards and functionality of meeting spaces.
  • Respect and promote inclusion and diversity.
  • Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs.
  • Dont need live sound/audio engineers, not doing production events. Again, not looking for live event engineers. This is day-to-day support in conference spaces.
  • People doing this in a university or corporate setting would be fine.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
