Job Details

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to lead the enhancement and optimization of our ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will analyze existing change, configuration, and release management processes, identify gaps, and design solutions that align with business goals. This role will be hands-on, focusing on ServiceNow development, customization, and integration to improve workflows and system performance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze existing ServiceNow processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  2. Design, develop, and configure custom ServiceNow applications, modules, and integrations.
  3. Customize and manage core ServiceNow modules such as ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request), Knowledge, Service Catalog, and CMDB.
  4. Develop and maintain dashboards, portals, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and scheduled jobs.
  5. Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and MID servers.
  6. Collaborate with process owners, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  7. Ensure code quality, system performance, and adherence to ServiceNow best practices.
  8. Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance optimization activities.
  9. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and release notes.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to configurations, scripts, and integrations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM, CMDB, and Service Catalog modules.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow Studio.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Familiarity with Flow Designer, Portal development, and Automation Engine.
  • Experience using Git or other version control systems and CI/CD practices within ServiceNow.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading ServiceNow platform enhancement or transformation projects.
  • Understanding of change management, release management, and configuration management processes.
  • Strong documentation and presentation abilities.
