Title: Sitecore Developer / Senior Sitecore Developer
Location: New York City, NY (3 Days Onsite / Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:
The Sitecore Developer will design, build, and maintain web applications and components on the Sitecore Experience Platform (XP/XM). This role involves customizing Sitecore, integrating with third-party systems, implementing templates, layouts, workflows, and optimizing performance. The developer collaborates with business stakeholders, UX/design, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and designers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Design, develop, and customize Sitecore components, templates, renderings, pipelines, and workflows.

Integrate Sitecore with external systems (e.g. CRMs, marketing automation, search, e-commerce APIs).

Implement personalization, A/B testing, analytics, and marketing automation features using Sitecore features (e.g., Personalization rules, xDB, xConnect).

Ensure performance, scalability, and security by following best practices (caching, indexing, CDN, optimization).

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and automated testing.

Provide technical support for defects, debugging, and resolving issues in production and pre-production environments.

Assist in deployment, release management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Create and maintain technical documentation (architecture, design, codebase, configuration).

Stay current with Sitecore releases, modules, and ecosystem trends.


Required Skills & Experience:

Strong experience in .NET (C#), ASP.NET MVC / ASP.NET Core, Web API.

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue) and client-side development.

Deep knowledge of Sitecore (versions may vary: e.g. 9.x, 10.x, XM Cloud) including content tree, templates, layouts, renderings, pipelines, etc.

Knowledge of Sitecore xConnect, xDB, indexing (Solr, Lucene, Azure Search), and Sitecore marketing features.

Experience integrating with external services (RESTful APIs, web services, SOAP, microservices).

Strong SQL/relational database skills (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server), and familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization.

Experience with caching strategies, CDNs, and scaling web applications.

Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

Experience with Sitecore SxA, Habitat, JSS/Headless, SXA Helix architecture.

Experience with cloud hosting (Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Prior experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.

Sitecore certification(s).

Experience migrating or upgrading Sitecore versions.


Typical Seniority / Years of Experience:

Mid-level: ~3 5 years of web/ .NET experience, at least 1 2 years working specifically with Sitecore

Senior: 5+ years web development, 3+ years Sitecore

Lead / Principal: strong architectural understanding, solution guidance
