About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Profile Developer to join our Retail Bank Technology division. This role involves the design, development, testing, and integration of software solutions with a strong focus on system architecture, performance, and interoperability. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with MUMPS, Profile Scripting Language (PSL), SQL, and deep knowledge of banking software systems. The role requires a balance of technical leadership, architectural insight, and hands-on coding, as well as the ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices across the division.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Design & Development:

Design, develop, and enhance applications using MUMPS, PSL, and SQL within the Profile banking platform.

Ensure scalable, efficient, and secure software solutions aligned with business needs.

System Architecture & Integration:

Lead the design of system architecture and integration points across core banking and third-party applications.

Work closely with solution architects to establish architectural standards and patterns.

Integrate Profile with APIs, payment systems, and external services.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

Develop and execute unit, integration, and system test cases.

Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and compliance requirements.

Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.

Technical Leadership:

Mentor and coach junior developers to enhance technical skills.

Lead technical discussions, provide guidance on complex problems, and ensure successful project delivery.

Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and internal documentation.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

Partner with business analysts, QA teams, and project managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize system performance and reliability.

Provide technical input during project estimation, planning, and delivery phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience in Profile banking systems development.

Strong hands-on expertise in:

MUMPS programming

Profile Scripting Language (PSL)

SQL (Oracle, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL)

Solid understanding of retail banking operations, core banking modules, and transaction processing systems.

Experience with system architecture, design patterns, and integration frameworks.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and propose effective solutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
