Program Overview:
This position supports an experimental defense program with rapidly changing requirements. The work involves developing and running cutting-edge simulations that span from seafloor to space, enabling advanced wargaming and mission analysis. The environment provides opportunities to explore new concepts, validate system performance, and directly influence future operational capabilities.

Overview:
We are seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer with direct AFSIM experience to support advanced analysis and experimentation efforts. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on proficiency in scripting, developing, and validating AFSIM models and behaviors, along with the ability to run and analyze large-scale simulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, script, and validate models and behaviors within AFSIM.
  • Build and refine models of sensors, weapons, communications, space systems, and other mission-critical capabilities.
  • Run and analyze campaign-level and theater-level simulations to inform CONOPS, tactics, and system trade studies.
  • Support distributed simulation environments and integrate large-scale scenarios across multiple domains.
  • Collaborate with mission analysts, operators, and engineering teams to align models with operational requirements.
  • Translate operational concepts into executable simulation scenarios.
  • Document results, findings, and recommendations in clear, actionable reports.

Required Qualifications (must-have):
  • Direct, hands-on experience with AFSIM including scripting, modeling, and behavior development.
  • Experience building and validating models of sensors, weapons, communications, and space systems.
  • Understanding of CONOPS, mission analysis, and tactics development.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • ship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Desired qualifications:
  • Proficiency in C++.
  • Experience supporting operational efforts through M&S development.
  • Experience working with large-scale distributed simulations.
  • Experience running and analyzing campaign and/or theater-level simulations.

About You:
  • You don't shrink when faced with a challenge -you rise to the occasion.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • You are mission-driven and motivated by impact.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments.
  • You are a builder, a problem-solver, and a collaborator, helping drive a program that is already in the hands of the warfighter and delivering real-world impact.

Apply now to contribute to a mission that is shaping the next generation of defense capabilities.
