Overview
A leading financial services firm is seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer to provide high-touch, white-glove technical support in a fast-paced, professional trading environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining desktop infrastructure, configuring and deploying hardware, and ensuring seamless performance across business systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide white-glove support to executives and staff, ensuring rapid, professional issue resolution
- Perform break/fix troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Configure and deploy laptops and desktop systems, ensuring compliance with company standards
- Manage and support mobile devices (iPhone, iPad) through MDM solutions
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications and related services
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to support and maintain on-prem servers and network components
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and asset tracking
- Mentor and provide senior-level support to junior technicians
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in desktop engineering or senior desktop support, preferably in financial services or trading environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, O365, and MDM tools
- Skilled in supporting iOS devices and hardware configuration
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with an emphasis on executive-level service
- Experience working with on-premise infrastructure and hybrid environments
Preferred
- Experience in commodities trading, hedge funds, or other financial services organizations
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, etc.)
