Job Description

Your role:
  • Performing overall technical leadership and responsibility for realization of full systems product release/life cycle management to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Translating user and business requirements into product requirements and high-level product design, while checking and optimizing integration and verification.
  • Executing system decomposition and allocation of derived requirements down to Hardware/Software element, part level and related traceability.
  • Trading-off both product and system design specifications and interfaces. Determining feasibility of potential solutions, and leading technical and design reviews.
  • Ensuring full Product Safety Risk Management in a regulation compliant manner.

You're the right fit if:
  • You've acquired a minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical, mechanical or software engineering and have demonstrated technical leadership skills.
  • Your skills include:
    • The ability to manage complexity, drive results, and persuade stakeholders effectively in the interest of patient safety and quality.
    • Experience with medical device industry standards (ISO 14971, IEC 62304, IEC 62366, FDA GMP, etc.) is preferred.
    • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools/methodology is preferred.
  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You are an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills related to the systems engineering discipline and have the ability to influence and lead cross functional teams.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Malvern, PA is $99,000 to $158,000.

The pay range for this position in San Diego, CA is $111,000 to $177,000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Malvern, PA or San Diego, CA.
