This is an exciting opportunity to join the Auto Finance Analytics team of a major financial services institution, where you will drive significant business results through innovative credit strategies. The successful candidate will lead key analytical projects contributing to the innovation, creation, and launch of value-adding products that leverage extensive internal and external data resources.
The role offers exposure across various critical Auto Analytics functions, including:
Credit Risk Management
Pricing Optimization
Portfolio Valuations
Dealer/Channel Analytics
As a key member of the team, you will combine your deep business acumen with advanced analytical skills to develop strategies designed to manage risk, drive profitable growth, and increase overall portfolio value. You will be instrumental in creating best-in-class frameworks based on supporting research, including customer segmentation, competitive analysis, underwriting model incorporation, and historical performance deep dives.

responsibilities:
- Strategy Development & Execution: Design, recommend, document, and execute consumer underwriting, product, channel, and/or customer experience strategies to enhance the lending portfolio's performance.
- Data Analysis & Modeling: Utilize advanced analytic and data query tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Python) to build, test, evaluate, and maintain robust data analysis and reporting for informed management decision-making.
- Strategic Insights: Analyze data, create, and validate assumptions that feed into volume growth and profitability strategies. Draw clear conclusions and provide actionable recommendations for developing or modifying existing strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business leaders to define priorities, align resources, and clearly communicate progress and strategic insights to executive leadership.
- Technology & Roadmaps: Contribute to strategy implementation, competitive intelligence, and performance monitoring, including supporting technology roadmap development.
- Talent Development: Elevate team capabilities and culture through mentoring, coaching, and collaboration with other associates.
qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in a data-driven analytics environment, or 2+ years combined with a relevant Master's or PhD degree.
- Demonstrated experience driving complex analytical projects and effectively presenting results and ideas to senior management.
- Advanced analytical skillset using tools like SQL and SAS/Python/R is required.
- Mindset: Innovative, capable of developing a highly analytical approach to problem-solving, and a proven ability to lead initiatives across multiple disciplines.
