To support national expansion and field integration efforts, the company is seeking a Traveling Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive process improvement and operational excellence across multiple job sites.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Lead process implementation and improvement efforts at construction and installation job sites across the country.

Apply lean manufacturing principles to on-site operations to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.

Conduct on-site evaluations of current practices; identify gaps and implement future-state workflows.

Facilitate value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving activities.

Develop, document, and train field teams on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Oversee process trials, collect field data, and analyze outcomes to drive measurable improvements.

Collaborate closely with internal engineering, logistics, and construction teams to align site execution with factory standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering roles, with at least 5 years focused on process improvement.

Proficiency in lean systems such as TPS, DMAIC, or similar methodologies.

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Effective communicator with proven leadership experience in cross-functional environments.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems and digital project management tools is a plus.

Travel Requirements

75%-90% domestic travel required

Must be comfortable with extended stays on the road and field-based work environments.
