Job Details
Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of Duck Creek Policy implementations and upgrades, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
Provide technical leadership to a mid-size team of developers, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
Develop and maintain upgrade roadmaps, schedules, and resource plans.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during development and upgrade phases.
Guide the team in scoping, estimating, and delivering high-quality solutions.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing and competency building within the team.
Capable of providing Production Support and mentoring junior developers in effectively identifying, analyzing, and resolving production issues.
Required:
1. Core Duck Creek Policy Expertise (Non-Negotiable)
Deep Platform Knowledge: Extensive, hands-on experience with Duck Creek Policy 7.x (and likely earlier versions).
Configuration & Extension: Proficiency in configuring and extending the Policy product to meet specific business needs.
Manuscript & Example Author: Expert-level skill in manuscript-based configuration using the Example Author tool.
Duck Creek Debugging Suite: Proven ability to use the standard debugging tools:
Data Tester
TSV (Transaction Search Viewer)
Trace Monitor
SQL Profiler (in the context of Duck Creek)
.NET Debugger (for custom code)
XSL Debugging
2. Software Development & Database Skills
Programming Languages:
.NET & C#: Strong proficiency for developing custom server-side components, integrations, and event handlers.
JavaScript: For client-side scripting and enhancements within the Duck Creek interface.
XSLT: Strong experience in XSL configuration for transforming data and generating documents (like policies and forms).
Database Development: Solid experience in SQL and database development, including:
Writing and optimizing Stored Procedures, Functions, and Views.
Designing and understanding database tables related to policy data.
Integration Skills: Experience with integrating Duck Creek with third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, CRM, document management) and internal collections systems.
3. Environmental & Architectural Knowledge
Duck Creek Express: Familiarity with Express 3 and its components.
Cloud Architecture: A deep understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models (e.g., on AWS or Azure), as Duck Creek is increasingly cloud-native.
Event Frameworks: Experience with Duck Creek's pre/post event frameworks for custom logic execution.
Environment Configuration: Proficiency in managing and configuring various Duck Creek environments (e.g., development, testing, production).
