What You'll Do

You will join the Cyber Risk Consulting team as a Senior Security Engineer, working alongside information security experts to evaluate and advise on cybersecurity risks for both internal and integrated projects. In this role, you'll collaborate with various teams to ensure cyber risk assessments align with business goals. Your expertise will be valuable as you serve as a trusted authority, leveraging your understanding of Principal's diverse business operations and their specific needs.

Here are a few examples of the work you'll do:
  • Identify and communicate security risks and recommendations to key business partners to obtain consensus.
  • Leverage knowledge of security frameworks and controls to influence risk-based decisions.
  • Effectively make decisions based on data.
  • Utilize and expand your security expertise to evaluate existing safeguards, provide strategic recommendations, and execute enhanced security measures across the organization.
  • Identifying areas for improvement for implementing effective solutions to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree with a preference in a science, technology, engineering, or math related field or equivalent work experience and 6+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience in at least one IT subject area (AI, cloud, development, network, infrastructure, UX).
  • Experience with AI risk and governance is required.
  • Experience within Cyber Security principles to handle risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data.
  • Demonstrable ability to collaborate, build trust and establish credibility with partners.
  • Understanding of control frameworks (NIST 800-53, CSF, ISO27001).
  • Cloud experience.
  • Experience with risk assessment processes.
  • CISSP certification recommended.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$123000 - $167000 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek). You'll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
