Role: ServiceNow System Administrator

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow System Administrator to join our IT Operations team in Waltham, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our ServiceNow environments across Development, Test, and Production. You ll collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to streamline processes, improve workflows, and maximize the value of the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and troubleshoot the performance of ServiceNow environments (Development, Test, and Production).
  • Conduct routine health assessments to maintain optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement and manage ServiceNow security policies, roles, and access controls to ensure data confidentiality and compliance.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and plugin upgrades, including establishing rollback plans to minimize disruption.
  • Lead support interactions related to cases, change requests, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify workflow requirements and improve process efficiency.
  • Design and maintain Performance Analytics dashboards and performance indicators to deliver actionable insights.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ServiceNow Vulnerability Response, providing guidance and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Configure and maintain ServiceNow integrations with third-party systems, ensuring data integrity and smooth communication.
  • Administer and enhance the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure accuracy and effective service mapping.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, developers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality ServiceNow solutions.
  • Document configurations, customizations, and integrations while maintaining best practices and lessons learned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong technical background with Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations and data exchange processes.
  • Understanding of risk management, policy, and compliance management concepts related to Vulnerability Response.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS Admin, or CIS Vulnerability Response.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, Security Operations, or Performance Analytics modules.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
