Job Description:
The Information Security Specialist defines, develops, and implements technology controls and information security-related policies, programs, and tools. This individual provides specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential gaps, and delivering security solutions to mitigate risks and protect the organization. Participates on projects of moderate to high complexity and provides advanced reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional, business line, or enterprise level.
Depth & Scope:
- Provides oversight and support for all U.S. technology remediation activities, including tracking of commitments, escalation of at-risk issues, and oversight of responses.
- Reports the status of all technology and cybersecurity remediation activities to program oversight leadership.
- Advises control owners, testing teams, and project teams on actions to address technology-related remediation commitments (e.g., metric design, governance enhancements, assessments).
- Participates in complex or large-scale projects and initiatives.
- Acts as a lead expert resource in technology controls and information security for project teams, business units, and/or external vendors.
- Has advanced knowledge of technology controls, security, and risk issues within enterprise environments.
