Salesforce Solution Architect

Our customer is looking for a Salesforce Solution Architect to design, deliver, and evolve Salesforce solutions for municipal and public sector clients. This role sits at the intersection of technical architecture, client engagement, and delivery leadership. You ll turn complex government problems into scalable Salesforce ecosystems that actually work in the real world.

What You ll Do
Solution Architecture & Delivery

• Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using Service Cloud and Public Sector Solutions.
• Architect end-to-end solutions for 311, licensing, permitting, inspections, workforce management, and citizen engagement.
• Build robust data models, automation (Flows), security models, and UI designs that meet municipal compliance standards.
• Lead integrations with GIS, financial systems, document management platforms, and third-party tools via APIs.
• Hands on Development, Configuration and stub development to streamline delegation to offshore developers
• Guide solution trade-offs through technical negotiations with municipal stakeholders.

Technical Leadership & Client Engagement

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal teams.
• Lead discovery workshops, architecture sessions, and technical design reviews.
• Set development standards and enforce best practices across project teams.
• Balance scope, timeline, and feasibility while shaping sustainable solutions.

Governance, Security & Quality

• Ensure solutions meet public sector security, privacy, and accessibility standards (WCAG/AODA).
• Define reusable frameworks, integration standards, and deployment practices.
• Proactively identify risks and drive mitigation strategies.

Innovation & Mentorship

• Develop reusable accelerators and automation patterns.
• Stay current on Salesforce releases and emerging technologies.
• Mentor and grow technical talent across the organization.

What You Bring

Required

• 8+ years of Salesforce experience (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Public Sector Solutions).
• Salesforce certifications (Application and/or System Architect preferred).
• Strong hands-on expertise with Apex, LWC, Flow, SOQL/SOSL, and platform configuration.
• Experience integrating Salesforce via REST/SOAP, or middleware.
• Proven success delivering complex, multi-stakeholder solutions.
• Public sector experience and comfort navigating municipal governance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate tech into business value.

Nice to Have

• OmniStudio experience.
• ERP, ArcGIS and third-party system integrations.
• Front-end/UI experience (SLDS, Bootstrap, AngularJS, jQuery).
