Type: 12 Months contract to hire
Salary Range: $75 to $80 per hour on W2
Location: Houston, TX 77002
Schedule: Hybrid (3x/week)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP APO PP Specialist to join a growing SAP Center of Excellence. This is a techno-functional role focused on advanced planning, production scheduling, and seamless integration between SAP APO and SAP ECC.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders, planners, and technical teams to stabilize, optimize, and enhance supply chain and manufacturing planning processes.

Key Responsibilities


SAP APO (Primary Focus)
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for SAP APO modules including DP, SNP, GATP, and PP/DS
Design, configure, and support APO planning areas, planning books, heuristics, and planning boards
Perform demand/supply balancing, capacity planning, and detailed production scheduling
Maintain and optimize APO master data (PDS, PPM, resources, location products)
Lead root-cause analysis for planning exceptions, CIF issues, and integration gaps
Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy and system stability

SAP PP (Secondary Focus)
Support SAP PP configuration and execution processes within ECC
Assist with production orders, confirmations, goods movements, and inventory accuracy
Maintain PP master data including BOMs, routings, and production versions
Ensure strong alignment between APO and PP for planning-to-execution integration
Design, Delivery & Support
Gather business requirements and translate them into functional designs
Produce high-quality documentation (functional specifications, SOPs, configuration guides)
Collaborate with developers on RICEFW objects and testing activities
Lead unit testing, UAT support, and end-user training
Provide production support while consistently meeting SLA expectations

Required Qualifications
8+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP APO
End-to-end implementation experience (not support-only) in APO and PP
Deep knowledge of APO DP, SNP, PP/DS, and integration with ECC (PP/MM/SD/FI)
Strong understanding of CIF, master data dependencies, and planning processes
Experience working directly with business users and global stakeholders
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in multi-plant or global manufacturing environments
Exposure to S&OP, IBP, or advanced supply chain planning
Experience mentoring junior team members or leading APO/PP workstreams
SAP certifications in APO, PP, or SCM-related modules
