As a Product Manager for Quality and Release, you will drive quality outcomes across the product lifecycle by translating business needs into testable, risk-aligned requirements. Description: About the Role
As a Product Manager for Quality and Release, you will drive quality outcomes across the product lifecycle by translating business needs into testable, risk-aligned requirements. You'll lead user acceptance testing (UAT), defect prioritization, and own the QE platform and infrastructure backlog. Your work will directly impact product reliability, customer satisfaction, and release efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Define and translate product changes into clear, testable requirements with measurable acceptance criteria.
- Align QE efforts with development timelines and scope; proactively communicate changes.
- Lead defect impact analysis and prioritization using customer and business context.
- Rank and prioritize testing efforts based on business impact, especially for critical E2E and SIT flows.
- Ensure comprehensive, risk-aligned test coverage for production-critical paths.
- Facilitate UAT planning, execution, and feedback integration.
- Incorporate production learnings (e.g., RCA, post-mortems) into test strategies and automation.
- Act as Product Owner for QE platform infrastructure; define outcomes, manage backlog, and track value realization.
- Collaborate with Strategic QE and Infra teams to support test environment strategy.
- Champion continuous improvement through quality metrics and UAT insights.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to align on quality goals and release readiness.
- Communicate production health and release status to business stakeholders and product teams.
- Define MVP criteria to accelerate delivery of enhancements and new capabilities.
- Lead requirement refinement and prioritization using agile tools and methodologies.
- Conduct stakeholder walkthroughs via demos, workshops, and sprint planning sessions.
- Estimate and plan work efforts based on priority and sprint capacity.
- Collaborate across teams to optimize support processes and resolve dependencies.
- Break down complex visions into actionable initiatives and features.
- Proven experience in product management with a focus on quality engineering and release processes.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and lifecycle.
- Experience leading automated rollouts and establishing scalable support processes.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive alignment across stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Experience in the retail industry.
- Familiarity with agile development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Background in managing QE platforms, infrastructure, and test environments.
