Role Name: Sr. Blockchain architect
Location: Chantilly, Virginia (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-12 Months
Scope of Work:
We are seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Solutions Architect to lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of blockchain technologies tailored to financial services. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our blockchain strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Assessment & Recommendation:
Conduct in-depth evaluations of leading blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda) and provide tailored recommendations aligned with specific financial use cases. - Solution Architecture & Prototyping:
Collaborate with internal development teams to architect and prototype cutting-edge blockchain solutions, including tokenization models, smart contracts, interoperability mechanisms, and consensus strategies. - Performance Optimization:
Drive optimization efforts focused on scalability, gas efficiency, transaction throughput, and cost-effectiveness through advanced techniques such as Layer-2 scaling, sharding, and rollups. - Infrastructure & Governance:
Provide guidance on blockchain infrastructure design, including node management, network operations, and governance frameworks to ensure operational reliability and resilience. - Security Audits & Remediation:
Lead security assessments of smart contracts in partnership with internal teams. Identify vulnerabilities, perform code reviews, and develop comprehensive remediation plans. - Regulatory Alignment & Compliance:
Advise on regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks specific to blockchain in the financial sector, ensuring all implementations meet industry and jurisdictional standards. - Knowledge Transfer & Strategic Advisory:
Conduct targeted knowledge-sharing sessions and develop strategic documentation to empower internal teams to independently manage and evolve blockchain solutions post-engagement.
Required Expertise:
- Deep, hands-on experience across multiple blockchain platforms including Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, Hyperledger Fabric, and Corda.
- Expertise in consensus mechanisms, transaction finality, communication protocols, and decentralized infrastructure.
- Proven track record in architecting secure, scalable, and efficient blockchain-based systems, particularly within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of smart contract development, auditing, and secure coding practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of global blockchain regulatory environments and compliance obligations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a consultative mindset and the ability to mentor technical teams.
