Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a critical Cisco Hardware Upgrade initiative in Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale hardware refresh projects, particularly involving Cisco networking equipment in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for Cisco hardware upgrade initiatives including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless equipment.
• Define project scope, develop detailed project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and manage budgets.
• Coordinate with network engineering, security, procurement, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and ensure on-time delivery against project goals.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize business disruption.
• Manage vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers involved in procurement and installation.
• Ensure adherence to company security policies, standards, and best practices during all upgrade activities.
• Provide regular project status updates, executive summaries, and key performance reports to leadership.
• Maintain project documentation including risk logs, issue trackers, change requests, and project schedules.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of Project Management experience, with significant exposure to network hardware upgrade projects.
• Strong experience with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, access points).
• Proven ability to manage large-scale technology refresh programs with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, architecture, and infrastructure management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, ServiceNow, JIRA, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures.

Preferred Skills:

• PMP Certification or equivalent project management credential.
• Hands-on technical understanding of Cisco IOS/NX-OS environments.
• Experience managing network cutover events and post-upgrade support planning.
• Exposure to Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, or Meraki.
• Experience working in regulated industries (finance, energy, healthcare, etc.) a plus
