Data Engineer II

Job Introduction

Our client is seeking a Data Engineer II to join their OneData ecosystem team, supporting enterprise and engagement domain data within a large-scale, cloud-based data environment. This is a highly visible role working on critical data products that power hundreds of business applications. You'll collaborate with both internal and external data teams to build, enhance, and maintain pipelines that enable reliable, high-quality data delivery across the organization.

US Remote (preferably EST working hours)

Compensation:

This job is expected to pay about $70-$75/hour

What You'll Do:


  • Build, enhance, and maintain scalable data pipelines across AWS and Snowflake environments.

  • Address production issues in real time to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability of data flows.

  • Collaborate across internal and external data teams to support enterprise-level ingestion and new data product development.

  • Apply domain knowledge to improve data usability and connect business requirements to data architecture.

  • Contribute to data governance and quality initiatives that strengthen the overall OneData ecosystem.


What Gets You the Job:


  • 5-7 years of experience as a Data Engineer with advanced proficiency in SQL and Spark (PySpark).

  • Strong hands-on experience in AWS (Lambda, Glue, S3) and Snowflake data warehousing.

  • Proven ability to build, optimize, and troubleshoot complex ETL and data pipeline architectures.

  • Knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, and governance frameworks.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain coding and problem-solving approaches clearly in live technical discussions.
