Description

SAIC is looking for a 100% remote Junior Business Process Analyst

Job Description:

SAIC is looking for a Junior Business Process Analyst to work remotely joining an Agile Scrum team working on strategic projects supporting the United States Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources and Conservation Division. The successful candidate will work within a SAFe Agile team interacting regularly with Product Owners/Business Customers, teammates, internal project leadership, and members of other teams to determine needs and requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts analysis of business processes: current state analysis, gap analysis, benchmarking, best practices identification, and other related tasks.
  • Interfaces with all areas of project including customer, computer services, and client services.
  • Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance.
  • Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
  • Conduct client interviews.
  • Perform cost and benefit analysis.

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or relevant discipline; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Applications such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiarity with formal System Development Methodologies. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Business Process Modeling.
  • General experience with Use Cases/User Stories.
  • Experience in Business Analysis activities including:
      • Requirements Management and Analysis
      • Requirements Elicitation
      • Solutions Analysis
      • Requirements Planning
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in development lifecycle environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust, Citizenship Required

Preferred Skills:
  • 3+ years' experience working with large scale application and development environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience working in SAFe Agile Scrum teams is a plus.
  • Membership in International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or related professional organization a plus.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
