HR INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST SR
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Human Resources (HR) Systems team is responsible for aligning our systems, solutions, and analytics strategy with the broader HR, business, and technology strategy. The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Senior Analyst role will support, enhance, and implement solutions in partnership with HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Talent Management, Operations, HR Business Partners, and Compliance. The HRIS Senior Analyst will consult with Business Owners to understand their strategic goals and initiatives, help influence the HRIS roadmap, deliver capabilities to achieve those goals, and create meaningful reporting and analytics to illustrate success. The HRIS Senior Analyst will also partner with other key stakeholders from Technology, Risk Management, Audit, Vendor Management, Procurement, Legal, and Finance, as well as any third-party vendors to ensure compliance and proper risk mitigation is enforced to safeguard colleague and City National Bank (CNB) data.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Provide expertise in the analysis, design, development (e.g., configuration), testing, and deployment of new system functionality, upgrades, or patches on the Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
- Administer, maintain, and update HRIS technology systems to drive consistency in data accuracy and integrity. Run periodic data audits to further drive completeness, and train super users on necessary data entry procedures and enhancements.
- Assess current-state processes, recommend enhancements, and implement scalable and innovative solutions that simplify and create efficiencies both for HR and bank-wide.
- Utilize proven project management skills, either by leading the project directly or partnering with HR's Project Manager resources, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Help create and maintain necessary artifacts, including by not limited to charters, business cases, project plans, RACI matrices, decision logs, issue logs, change request logs, etc..
- Troubleshoot production issues through proper analysis, defect identification, and resolution procedures. Document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when appropriate, escalate broader vendor system or service issues through ServiceNow Incident tickets, and provide white-glove treatment to colleagues when addressing their questions or concerns. Use support metrics to either propose opportunities for process improvement or create user guides to help train and educate colleagues on common themes occurring.
- Manage vendor relationships by serving as the key liaison between them and HR stakeholders, holding periodic business reviews, and escalating system issues or concerns.
- Perform security administration by reviewing requests and granting user access and permissions commensurate with the functions and duties of the user's job. Perform periodic audits to drive and enforce consistency in assignment among HR functional areas.
- Document and maintain all HR technology systems' requirements, configurations, processes, procedures, and data flows with applicable logic and criteria for reports and integrations with internal CNB systems and third-party vendors.
- Perform and/or coordinate any lifecycle testing (e.g., quality assurance, system integration, user acceptance, etc.) including creating test plans, building baseline test scripts, and obtaining UAT sign-off for deployment.
- Partner with the Learning and Development and HR Communications teams to develop and maintain user procedures, guidelines, and documentation to train HR colleagues at time of hire or when implementing new system functionality.
- Participate in cyclical and ad-hoc audit requests from internal or external auditors to ensure Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act (FDICIA) and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance across all HR/IT Controls.
- Partner with the HR People Analytics team to generate and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations leveraging technology to provide key metrics in support of HR and management decision making. Help rationalize report inventory, drive consistency in report distribution, promote self-service adoption of analytics and use data trends to identify areas of improvement and optimization.
- Lead by example and promote a customer service philosophy by modeling core behaviors that support the HR department's goals of attracting, developing, and retaining key talent. Understand the needs of our HR colleagues and provide solutions that are focused on helping them be successful in their roles.
- Stay abreast of current trends in the HR technology industry, with focus on the latest functionalities, up-and-coming vendors or tools, HR processes and procedures, compliance, and regulations including data privacy laws.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Human Resources, or other related field
- Minimum of 7 years technical experience in providing analysis, system administration, hands-on configuration, and implementations of Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, preferably with UKG Pro and/or Workday, is required.
- Minimum of 7 years progressive functional knowledge and support of HR processes and functions, such as Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Benefits, Performance, Succession Planning, Learning, Payroll, and any other general HR processes.
- Minimum of 7 years experience integrating HR systems and tools while providing end-user support.
Additional Qualifications
- Possess extensive knowledge of HR functions, automated workflow processes, security administration, benefits administration, compensation planning tools, recruiting technologies (e.g., iCIMS), and talent management strongly preferred.
- Must demonstrate a strong understanding of both project management concepts as well as software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including but not limited to conducting business process analysis, planning and design, configuration and development, testing, and deployment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills including research techniques.
- Proficiency in people analytics and visualization tools, such as Cognos BI, Visier, or Tableau.
- Proven project management experience overseeing all aspects of an implementation of large scale.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to either obtain information or solve problems in support of common goals.
- Team-player who can easily build relationships and work well with members of different backgrounds and experiences.
- Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive data.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and resourceful approach to tasks, with the ability to also adapt to change easily.
