Job Title: Event Management Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Event Management Specialist with expertise in Cloud Pak for Watson AIOps to enhance our intelligent IT operations ecosystem. This role blends traditional event management with modern DevOps practices empowering proactive incident detection, automation, and AI-driven operations across complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, optimize, and maintain Watson AIOps modules including event manager, topology, and runbook automation.
- Integrate event management with DevOps and SRE workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Build and manage event ingestion pipelines from multiple monitoring tools and infrastructure sources.
- Design and implement automation/remediation workflows using Watson AIOps and related tools.
- Analyze and reduce event noise, improve correlation accuracy, and refine suppression strategies.
- Lead migration efforts from legacy platforms (Netcool, NOI) to Watson AIOps.
- Document event flows, integration patterns, and operational processes to ensure smooth delivery and maintenance.
What We re Looking For:
- Proven hands-on experience with Cloud Pak for Watson AIOps (Event Manager, Topology, Runbook Automation).
- Strong grasp of event management principles, monitoring, and observability best practices.
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation and integration.
- Experience working with Kafka, REST APIs, and webhook-based integrations.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Cloud) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $70 $75 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
