Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced)

The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is hiring for a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to join the Flight Test Instrumentation & Data Systems (I&DS) Design & Planning team in Tukwila, WA. The team is responsible for designing the application of instrumentation, installation of test equipment, and integration of data system infrastructure onto a variety of aircraft systems and components to measure and collect flight test data. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the fast-paced area of Flight Test and a chance to work on multiple programs across the enterprise.
BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced level Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineers.

- Support the development and documentation of mechanical, electrical, and fluid system environment
- Support the development, maintenance, or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
- Perform detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
- Perform spatial integration at system or component level and modification of production aircraft mechanisms
- Assist in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems
- Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts
- Work under general supervision
- Work amongst cross-functional teams
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
- 1+ years of experience with engineering and design software (i.e. CAD/3D packages (UG/NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of experience working conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical audiences, and be a self-starter
- Experience in Test and Evaluation Engineering
