Job Title: Solution Engineer
Client: City of Philadelphia
Duration: 04 Months
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Note: This is 100% remote role with virtual interview.

Job Description:
Develop custom components and connectors as required.
Ensure solutions are secure, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive.
Automate data workflows between PowerApps and other internal or external systems.
Configure approvals, notifications, and business rules within Power Automate flows.
Monitor and troubleshoot flows for reliability and efficiency.
Create interactive dashboards and reports based on collected and existing data.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop KPIs and performance metrics.
Ensure data models are optimized for performance and maintain data integrity.
Develop role-based access and publish dashboards securely.
Participate in user testing and iterative refinements.
Responsible for developing and implementing application development tasks.
Assists with deployment of applications and resources.
Design and build model-driven and canvas apps based on departmental needs.

Work Activities:
Gather and document requirements from stakeholders
Translate business needs into technical specifications
Design scalable Power Platform architecture
Develop and deploy PowerApps (canvas/model-driven)
Build and maintain automated workflows in Power Automate
Create dashboards and reports in Power BI
Ensure data integration with existing systems (SQL, SharePoint, etc.)
Define and implement security and governance policies
Develop custom connectors or components
Conduct testing and quality assurance of apps and flows
Provide user support and technical troubleshooting
Conduct stakeholder reviews and feedback sessions
Monitor and maintain operational flows and app performance
Create user guides, documentation, and training materials
Ensure accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and usability of PowerApps
Design and implement KPIs and performance indicators in Power BI
Manage versioning, deployments, and release schedules
Conduct regular team meetings and project updates
Adhere to data privacy and compliance standards

Required Skills:
Proficient in developing PowerApps (canvas and model-driven)
Strong knowledge of Power Automate for automating business processes
Experience with JSON, REST APIs, and custom connectors
Familiarity with data integration using SharePoint, SQL Server, or Dataverse
Understanding of user experience (UX) design and responsive layouts
Competency in debugging, performance optimization, and error handling
Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise system integration and enterprise geodatabases
Required Experience:
3+ years of hands-on experience with Power Platform development
Prior work on enterprise-level apps with multiple stakeholders
Experience developing secure apps
Previous exposure to police department or public safety data workflows is a plus
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team
