Description

SAIC is seeking an Acquisition Logistics engineer to join our diverse Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team. The successful candidate will collaborate and communicate with SE&I, contractor and Government stakeholders to provide logistics engineering expertise to ensure SE&I processes and products are delivered for all PNT systems engineering and integration areas of responsibility.

The PNT SE&I Team provides Space Systems Command (SSC) specialized engineering, analysis, planning and execution in support of Global Positioning System (GPS) Programs of Record (PoRs) and the PNT Enterprise. This includes:

Develop operational and capabilities-based requirements and architectures

Manage PNT Enterprise Technical Baseline in accordance with documented process plan

System Engineering for PNT Enterprise and Space, Control and User Segments

Plan, execute and track Enterprise, Integrated System, Developmental and Cybersecurity Test, Evaluation and Verification

Develop Enterprise Roadmaps and Schedule Views for system and capability delivery

Manage GPS Enterprise and Space, Control and User Segment Risks

Support Sustainment of currently fielded GPS systems

Support Transition to Operations for future GPS systems

Major duties of the position include:
  • Participate in OCX 3F Integrated Product Teams, Product Support Manager meetings, and other programmatic activities
  • Performs logistics engineering analyses, technical reviews, and assessments; coordinates analyses efforts, methods, and techniques; develop products and briefings; and performs technical engagement with, and briefings for and to, government customers and stakeholders
  • Define and apply sustainment engineering processes to ensure Product Support Elements are captured and synchronized between development, production, and sustainment phases in accordance with DoDI 5000.02
  • Develop and update Life Cycle Sustainment Plans and other acquisition logistics planning documents in support of program milestones
  • Provide analysis and input for the development of maintenance of product support budgeting and funding, including life cycle cost estimating to support performance based logistics business cost analysis, logistics requirements and funding summaries, Total Ownership Cost issues, and POM issue papers
  • Facilitate, support, and participate in System Engineering Technical Review Boards, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Integrated Product Teams, Configuration Control Boards, Provisioning and Training Conferences
  • Review logistics acquisition documentation to ensure compliance with Air Force and other DoD logistics requirements
  • Provides technical recommendations and system expertise support to capability Integrated Product Teams at all PNT system levels

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • BS in any field with 6+ years of logistics engineering experience in DoD acquisition or sustainment programs and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in military and/or space systems operations, transition to operations, acquisition, sustainment, and/or development
  • Proactive leader who identifies and solves issues
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Active SECRET Security Clearance
  • Experience writing and delivering documents and briefings


Desired Qualifications
  • DAWIA Certification in Life Cycle Logistics, Program Management, or Engineering
  • Experience working with Air Force/Space Force/DoD customers in an acquisition, sustainment, and/or Operational environment, with space and/or ground systems
  • LiveLink experience
  • MS365 SharePoint Applications experience


Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
