Position: Connex Support Lead Engineer
Location: Houston, TX (3x a week)
Required Skills:
1. Extensive hands-on experience with Connex switch, transaction processing & their associated component
2. Expertise in TAL, COBOL, S-COBOL, and TACL programming languages. Experience in using the Tandem utilities like FUP, Enscribe, Enform, Bind/XLD, SQL, DDL, INSPECT, Netbatch, Spooler, Peruse, Pathway concepts,
3. Experience with Connex knowledge on PI, TH, CH, PMC, CED, SMONINQY, CMSUTIL, NMI, EMS, Prognosis
Job Description:
* Lead and mentor a team of support engineers focused on Connex applications running on HPE NonStop/Tandem systems.
* Responsible for ensuring high-quality customer service, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
* Act as the first point of escalation for complex or high-priority customer issues.
* Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and network teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
* Drive root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
* Maintain and update operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, team collaboration and decision-making skills.
