Job Summary


  • The Maintenance Technician maintains the safety and functionality of OES machines, equipment, building and grounds to ensure efficient production of OES products.


Job Responsibilities


  • Change molds and inserts in machines as required for production needs
  • Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, electrical components and special purpose machines as assigned
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, fabricate, change parts and complete tasks as assigned
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly
  • Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
  • Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment, with a proven track record of contributing toward team goals


Job Requirements


  • At least 2 years of maintenance/electrician experience working in a manufacturing environment, plastic injection molding preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic safety programs, particularly lock-out/tag-out procedures, as well as principles of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding and mechanics
  • Safety-conscious
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, dependable, proven work ethic
  • The job involves the following physical demands: walking, climbing stairs/ladders, standing, climbing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Working at heights above 4 feet (on ladders and/or platforms) is common
  • Environmental conditions involve generally indoor work, but frequently working around very hot equipment and in tight spaces (not confined)
  • Job responsibilities involve frequent exposure to oil and grease
