Data Migration Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Denver, CO that is seeking a Data Migration Lead. This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and executive communication skills. The Data Migration Lead will be managing a team of ELT engineers and data migration specialists, driving strategy, execution, and stakeholder alignment across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the full lifecycle of data migration projects, including strategy development, planning, execution, and cutover
* Manage and mentor a team of 4+ data migration engineers and ELT professionals
* Own the migration of complex datasets (raw materials, textiles, product descriptions, buying data)
* Utilize ChainSys Platform and other ETL/ELT tools to extract, transform, and load data into target systems
* Address and remediate poor data quality issues to ensure clean, usable data in Flex PLM
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, product, and IT
* Communicate regularly with executive stakeholders (2-3 times/week), delivering clear updates and strategic insights
* Build and manage detailed migration plans, timelines, and resource allocations for current and future program phases
* Support cutover execution and ensure business continuity during transitions
* Document and present data migration methodologies, tools used, and lessons learned from past migrations

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of experience in data migration, with at least 3 years in a leadership or project management role
* Strong background in ETL/ELT processes; experience with ChainSys is preferred but not required
* Proven success leading data migrations in the retail industry
* Deep understanding of PLM systems, especially Flex PLM
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders
* Experience working with poor data quality and implementing effective remediation strategies
* Strong project management skills, including cutover planning and execution
* Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams across multiple time zones
* Sharp, articulate communicator with a history of delivering clear, concise messages to other leaders
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
* Experience in long-term transformation programs
* Familiarity with product lifecycle processes

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
