Ab-Initio Developer

Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions using the Ab Initio platform

This role requires a solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional team

Job Responsibilities:

• ETL Development: Design and develop Ab Initio ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from source systems to target databases
• Data Integration: Implement data integration solutions that adhere to business requirements and data quality standards
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to understand integration needs
• Ab Initio Components: Utilize various Ab Initio components and features for data profiling, data cleansing, and transformation activities
• Implement parallel processing for optimal performance
• Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of Ab Initio ETL processes
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve issues
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for Ab Initio processes, including design documents, mappings, and workflows
• Document data lineage and metadata information
• Performance Tuning: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Ab Initio processes
• Optimize code and configurations for improved efficiency
• Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, database administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and data flow
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings and discussions
• Adherence to Best Practices: Follow industry best practices for ETL development and data integration
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in Ab Initio technologies

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on strong experience in Ab-Initio technology.
• Should have good knowledge about Ab-Initio components like Reformat, Join, Sort, Rollup, Normalize, Scan, Lookup, MFS, Ab-Initio parallelism and products like Metadata HUB, Conduct>IT, Express>IT, Control center and good to have a clear understanding of concepts like Metaprogramming, continuous flows & PDL.
• Very good knowledge of Data warehouse, SQL, and Unix shell scripting.
• Knowledge of ETL side of Cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and on Hadoop platform is also an added advantage.
• Experience in working with banking domain data is an added advantage.
• Excellent technical knowledge in Design, development & validation of complex ETL features using Ab-Initio.
• Excellent knowledge in integration with upstream and downstream processes and systems.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, and processes.
• Ability to engage and collaborate with Stakeholders to deliver assigned tasks with defined quality goals.
• Can work independently with minimum supervision and help the development team on technical Issues.
• Good Communication and analytical skills.
