Overview
We are supporting a growing, global organization in Jacksonville that is seeking a Senior HR Generalist / HR Operations professional to serve as the primary onsite HR owner.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, operating with autonomy, and improving day-to-day HR processes in a lean environment. The organization is going through internal change and is looking for an HR professional who can stabilize operations, support employees, and reduce manual work.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for onsite employees
- Own day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee relations support, and policy administration
- Review and coordinate payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely processing in partnership with payroll providers or finance
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Support performance review cycles, compensation processes, and internal audits
- Draft and distribute internal HR communications as needed
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and reduce manual processes
- Partner closely with leadership during organizational changes and transitions
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a senior, operational HR Generalist who has:
- Experience serving as the sole or primary HR owner for a site or business unit
- Hands-on ownership of HR operations with minimal oversight
- Payroll exposure (reviewing, validating, and coordinating payroll - not necessarily running payroll end-to-end)
- Comfort working in a fast-paced or evolving environment
- A practical, solution-oriented mindset with interest in process improvement and efficiency
- Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable presence
Qualifications
- 4-8 years of progressive HR experience
- Payroll exposure required (Paylocity, ADP, or similar systems preferred)
- Experience working onsite and directly supporting employees
- Comfortable using HRIS systems and modern workplace tools
- Ability to operate independently with sound judgment
