Description
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the construction process for new-build and retrofit data center technology, ensuring alignment with Cook Children's standards and requirements from concept to completion.
Work closely with the IT design team to uphold design integrity and resolve construction challenges related to design intent.
Own development portfolio performance (cost, schedule, quality, safety).
Monitor project milestones to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
Accountable for ongoing innovation and initiatives.
Drive impact and show strength of lean construction, bid negotiations and design optimization initiatives against targets.
Work with procurement to own cost saving measures.
Lead and manage large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
Collaborate with internal teams, architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and resolve any issues that arise.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
Oversee procurement processes, including material selection and subcontractor management, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Monitor project progress, conduct site visits, and ensure safety standards are met throughout all phases of construction.
Required:
Experience in a similar role working in the field of Real Estate Development (data center focused), Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams, clients, and stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contracts, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.
Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in construction management software and tools, including project scheduling and cost control systems.
Strong commitment to safety and quality standards, ensuring all work complies with regulatory requirements.
A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a positive, solutions-focused approach
Preferred:
Bachelor's of Science in Technology, Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (Civil or Structural) or equivalent experience preferred.
Additional experience on design and build projects is preferred but not required.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
