Job Description:
GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and talented candidate to join our team supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC). The Senior DevSecOps Engineer shall be responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-class applications and web services. This role requires expertise with enterprise web services including SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, WSDL, and XSD, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, Perl, and Linux shell scripting. Additional required skills include Java Server Faces (JSF), Prime Faces, JavaScript, CSS, and demonstrated ability to develop secure web services and enterprise applications in accordance with federal security standards. The Senior DevSecOps Engineer must have skills in unit testing and automated regression testing frameworks, as well as experience working in Agile environments that include sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will execute the following responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and support national public access products.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-class software systems using C, Java, JSF, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, Perl, and/or Linux shell.
- Develop secure web services utilizing standards such as SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSD, XML, and/or JSON.
- Independently and collaboratively design and create efficient, scalable and resilient software solutions.
- Develop and maintain unit tests and automated regression tests for new and existing software components.
- Implement secure engineering practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities such as ATO, PCI, and FISMA.
- Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and system tuning; design and test continuity of operations (COOP) and disaster recovery (DR) capabilities.
- Manage Software configurations, version control, and source code repositories; participate in change control process.
- Create, maintain, integrate, and execute automated test scripts for all in-scope applications.
- Develop automation plans that cover complex business functions and/or multisystem/ integrated environments for existing and new products.
- Develop test automation framework, automation scripts, and automated test cases contributing to smoke, regression, performance, and system test suites with object-oriented design principles.
- Support change management/release management activities by providing detailed information regarding dependencies or risks identified during testing and smoke test activities on new redesign systems.
- Install, configure, maintain, deploy, and support applications which reside on Enterprise Systems including the underlying operating systems, database management systems, business intelligence reporting tools, and system management utilities.
- Develop templates and implement standard configurations for virtual environments.
- Administer routine maintenance, including database maintenance, and application software installation and tuning; system troubleshooting, and end-user support relative to supported applications and associated operating systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in IT system engineering, systems development, systems coding and programming.
- Expertise with enterprise web services including SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, WSDL, and XSD, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, Perl, and Linux shell scripting.
- Additional required skills include Java Server Faces (JSF), Prime Faces, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Demonstrated ability to develop secure web services and enterprise applications in accordance with federal security standards.
- Experience in unit testing and automated regression testing frameworks.
