Job Details
Piper Health & Sciences is currently seeking a Coder, Senior. Account Manager for at a highly accredited health care organization in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC). The Coder, Senior Account Manager will identify coding issues or discrepancies from reviewing denials and appeals. This is a Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 PM role located on-site in Raleigh.

Responsibilities of the Coder, Senior Account Manager:
- Review denials and appeals for coding issues and support the resolution and communication with relevant parties
- Review work queues and report statuses in Epic for inpatient/outpatient accounts
- Utilize Epic to identify predicting fluctuations in A/R for inpatient/outpatient accounts
- Perform coding responsibilities for DRG assignment collection of predefined indicators
- Abstracting medical records
- Exercise understanding of the revenue cycle and CMS guidelines for managed care contracts and LCDs
Qualifications of the Coder, Senior Account Manager:
- 5 Years of Inpatient, Coding or clinical experience
- One of the following: Registered Health Information Administrator, Health Information Technician, Registered Nurse and/or Certified Coding Specialist (CPC)
- Bachelor's or Associate' Degree in a related field of study
Compensation for the Coder, Senior Account Manager:
- Salary Range: $25 - $30 per hour or based on relevant industry experience
