Job Description:

  • Client is a cutting-edge autonomous mobility company dedicated to transforming transportation through innovative technology.
  • As we continue to push the boundaries of autonomous vehicles, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Vehicle Platform Stability team.
  • This is a contract position with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of mobility.

Position Overview:

  • As the Vehicle Platform Stability TPM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and reliability of our autonomous vehicles.
  • The Platform Stability team, a sub-team within Vehicle Engineering, serves as the first line of defense for identifying and resolving issues related to system analysis of CAN, LIN, and electrical issues during development testing and vehicle bring-up.
  • Your responsibilities will include developing vehicle stability metrics, driving system analysis, root cause analysis, proposing solutions, and implementing them in order to support project milestones.
  • This is a highly cross-functional role that requires effective communication and collaboration with various teams including firmware, software, hardware, vehicle integration, and program management.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Triage and Assignment of Jira Tickets: Take ownership of the daily triage and assignment of Jira tickets to Platform Stability team members. Prioritize tasks based on factors like severity, frequency, and program milestones to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
  • Utilize Jira for Data Analysis: Leverage your expertise in Jira to extract, analyze, and interpret data effectively. Create metrics and statistics that provide meaningful insights for data-driven decisions, driving continuous improvement in stability-related vehicle performance topics.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders and leadership to communicate findings derived from Jira data analysis. Drive consensus on prioritization and focus areas by presenting compelling data-driven arguments. Create and communicate regular reports on vehicle performance and escalate issues where needed.
  • Drive Issues to Completion: Ensure timely resolution of issues through effective communication and collaboration. Foster a culture of accountability within the team by setting clear expectations and holding team members responsible for their tasks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in knowledge, requirements, and documentation to drive continuous improvement in stability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline, with a passion for electric and autonomous mobility.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading engineering teams and/or program management.
  • Hands-on experience with project management/reporting tools such as Jira(create and maintain filters, dashboards, Structures, etc.), Looker Boards, MS Project, Smartsheet and Confluence.
  • Strong technical understanding of vehicle-level systems and interactions.
  • Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to lead by influence, and build strong relationships with team members and leadership.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Automotive Systems and/or Control Systems experience
  • Stability experience
  • Experience with CAN, LIN and electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience with Vector CANalyzer or similar
