Job Description: CADD/GIS Administrator 2 Geographic Analysis Support
Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid; remote contractors may be asked to work onsite 1 day per week if local)
Duration: 9 Months
Interviews: Microsoft Teams
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
Position Overview
The client is seeking a CADD/GIS Administrator 2 to provide geographic analysis support for the MCD project. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of GIS analysis experience and expertise in ArcGIS programming, geospatial data integration, and visualization. This role requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills to support project teams, deliver high-quality mapping and spatial analysis, and train analysts in basic GIS functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with business SMEs to define geospatial analysis needs.
- Provide ArcGIS programming support including LISA cluster, outlier analysis, catchment area analysis, model builder, Python, and SAS.
- Integrate ArcGIS geospatial shape files with Tableau dashboards.
- Create specialized geospatial files/maps for census track and behavioral health capacity work.
- Support clinical analytics with advanced geospatial analysis.
- Calculate time and distance for SPBM and Managed Care programs and validate accuracy.
- Conduct QA checks on geospatial files to ensure correct displays and provide technical recommendations.
- Document business needs, develop quality control documentation, and track key actions.
- Train analysts in GIS mapping functions to improve system performance.
Required Skills
- 6+ years in data analysis with tools such as Excel, Python, R.
- 6+ years of ArcGIS mapping development (advanced mechanics).
- 6+ years of data visualization experience (ArcGIS).
- 4+ years identifying data anomalies.
- Strong experience with large relational databases.
- Proficient in Network Analyst tool within ArcGIS (time/distance calculations).
- Python scripting within ArcGIS for automation of spatial analysis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (using STAR method).
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
- Effective team player in fast-paced delivery environments.
Desired Skills
- ArcGIS teaching experience.
- Healthcare data experience, including census track/block analysis.
- Advanced SQL.
- Experience with Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Hue, Impala).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and training skills.
- Ability to stay current with best practices in geospatial analysis and data visualization.
