About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, specifically Underwriting systems and processes. This role requires someone who can bridge the gap between business and technology, ensuring seamless delivery of insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with underwriters, product managers, and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for P&C insurance applications.

  • Partner with technology teams to design, test, and implement solutions that improve underwriting workflows.

  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and impact assessments for new and existing P&C systems.

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure deliverables meet business expectations.

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for P&C underwriting processes and contribute to system enhancements.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 10 years of total experience, with at least 5+ years in P&C Insurance business analysis.

  • Deep expertise in P&C underwriting workflows, rating, and policy administration systems.

  • Strong technical acumen to work closely with developers, QA, and system architects.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Must be local to NY/NJ area and available for in-office collaboration as needed.
