RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking an experienced Helix OOB Solution Architect to lead a high-impact proof-of-concept (POC) for a national telecommunications provider migrating from a heavily customized BMC Remedy platform to BMC Helix using Out-of-the-Box (OOB) capabilities. This role focuses on evaluating the feasibility of replacing complex custom Remedy mechanisms-specifically around change management, outage modeling, and regulatory reporting-with native Helix functionality. The architect will lead the prototyping effort for seven critical business use cases using production-scale service, outage, and customer datasets.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the technical architecture, hands-on configuration, and performance validation of BMC Helix OOB functionality for change and outage management
* Translate legacy Remedy customizations into native Helix modules and workflows, with a focus on CMDB, Service Impact Modeling, and ITSM
* Design, implement, and optimize SQL-based queries that meet strict performance benchmarks (response times within milliseconds at scale)
* Collaborate with operations and infrastructure stakeholders to validate modeling of service relationships, outages, and impacted customer accounts
* Document the approach, configuration changes, migration risks, performance findings, and any identified functional gaps
* Participate in weekly status updates, mid-project demos, and submission of final performance results and code to the client's version control system

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with BMC Helix ITSM/CMDB, including successful delivery of Helix OOB implementations
* Proven experience migrating complex Remedy customizations into native Helix solutions, especially in the areas of impact analysis, regulatory reporting, and service topology modeling
* Advanced skills in SQL query design and optimization, especially at production scale (millions of records, large datasets)
* Familiarity with metadata management and version control practices (e.g., Git-based DevOps for Remedy/Helix)
* Strong communication and technical documentation skills
* Work will be performed remotely within a secure, VDI-based client-hosted environment
* All development will take place within client systems-no data or code stored locally
* Collaboration with internal SMEs, PMs, and engineers throughout the engagement
* Delivery of a validated Helix prototype that supports 7 defined use cases
* Query response times that meet client benchmarks (20ms-1000ms thresholds depending on use case)
* All design and code changes submitted to client-controlled version control system
* Clear documentation of decisions, configurations, and any performance or functional limitations

Deep knowledge of:
* BMC Helix CMDB and Service Impact Models
* Change, Incident, and Problem Management modules
* Outage and customer impact modeling
