Controls Technician Controls Technician

Position Overview
The Controls Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated systems and control equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production processes through effective control systems management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure PLCs and control systems for automated machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections on control equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve existing control systems and implement new solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to control systems and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to operators on automated equipment and HMI systems.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, preferably with Allen Bradley systems.
  • Strong background in automated machinery and control systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation principles and practices.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
