Job Details

Global financial firm seeking a Sr Network Engineering specialist specifically with knowledge of M&A Connectivity to support a global on-premises and cloud network enterprise.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Lead and be hands-on with the design, implementation, and project management of a resilient, highly available network infrastructure multisite BGP cross org interconnect, including data centers, corporate offices, and public cloud.
  • Knowledge of active Palo Alto firewall migrations and upgrades, experience of active inline cisco migrations and upgrades without downtime.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Participate in planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
  • Work closely with other IT teams, business units, and stakeholders to align infrastructure initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Be available for after-hours and weekend support as required.

Candidate Profile

  • 15-20 years of network engineering experience, preferably in the financial services industry, with a proven track record of managing complex network environments.
  • Experience in datacenter network design and implementation.
  • Expertise in network technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, DNS, DHCP)
  • Expert knowledge of network and security products (Palo Alto, Cisco).
  • Experience working with Windows, Windows Server, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience working in production datacenter environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience with cloud networking and services (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies and environments.
  • Knowledge of Citrix ADC/Netscaler.
  • Experience with network automation and scripting tools. (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
